Product Review By: Joey Smith - Powerlifter

Joey Smith is a pro level powerlifter. He has won 1 SPF World Championship and 2 National Championships in the past 2 years (1 geared and 1 raw). He has benched 760 lbs at 286 pound body weight and totaled over 1840 lbs in fullpower raw this year (730 lb squat, 500 lb bench, 610 lb deadlift). He has ranked in the top 15 bench pressers in the Powerlifting USA and Powerlifting Watch rankings for 3 years in a row.

Test Description:

When I tested oxygen, I was in the Accumulation phase of my block periodization (there are three blocks: Accumulation, Transmutation, Realization). The accumulation phase is more volume, more sets and reps. During this time I am getting my muscles, mind, body and my central nervous system back in proper working order to get ready to handle the rigors of heavy lifting. It is most easily described as Intense Powerlifting Cardio. I tested the O2 while deadlifting, benching and squatting.

Prior to testing, I told my lifting coach to increase my rep goals by 20% across the board because I was testing the O2 and most other athletes were claiming 20% rep increases. I really wanted to put the product to the test under extreme circumstances.

I took a few quick shots before the start of each workout, then took 10 shots before the toughest sets of each workout. These were the most intense sets where the highest workload is achieved. These sets are usually the most painful due to all of the prior reps I have completed and are the most difficult because I lift the heaviest weights.

Results:

Deadlift: After taking 10 shots of O2, my final sets were remarkably easier and I smoked them! I was able to complete a Personal Record (PR) on my deadlifts - 500 lbs for 4 sets x 5 reps (20 reps total). I have never had the stamina to do this many reps and sets. My previous PR for this exercise was 3 sets x 4 reps (12 reps total) with the same weight of 500 lbs. That is a 66% increase in the total reps using 500 lbs for that workout.

Squat: After taking 10 shots of O2, I was able to set a new PR in squats as well. My old PR was 600 lbs for 4 sets x 2 reps (8 reps total). The new PR was 600 lbs for 4 sets x 3 reps (12 reps total). That is a 50% increase in total reps using 600 lbs for that workout.

Bench: Unfortunately, when I tested the oxygen, I was recovering from a pec injury that did not allow me to train at full intensity on bench. However, after taking the 10 shots, I was still able to complete significantly more reps than I expected. Just for kicks, I took 10 more shots and tried to do another set. I ripped though that extra set like it was nothing. I would NEVER have been able to do that before, even without an injury.

Recovery: For all exercises, I could not believe how my recovery time was cut in half. My muscle recovery was amazing. I was ready for more when I would normally be done for the day.

Other comments:

After doing the deadlift PR my team was looking at me like I was crazy. They were sold on the effectiveness of O2. Each of them them took 10 shots of O2 before their final sets of deadlifts and both hit a new PR! One by 20 pounds and the other by 25 pounds! Amazing!

Conclusion:

Oxygen is the real deal! Increased reps, more explosive power, faster recovery, and greater mental clarity in the gym are all going to help me maximize every workout and make me stronger in less time. If your looking for the edge to reach your goals faster, oxygen will help you do this.
