Tomo Sakugawa, Beach Volleyball player, joins the Oxygen4Energy Team!
Tomo Sakugawa, believed to be the shortest player to qualify for the main draw at an AVP Tour event since the small court was put in place, just signed on with Oxygen4Energy as a sponsored athlete.
Tomo stands at about 5' 9" tall. In a sport so dominated by tall athletes, it's a wonder that he can even compete. Yet, his presence on the court cannot be ignored. What he lacks in height, he makes up for in quickness, incredible ball control, superior court awareness, and heart. Many top pros who play against him admit that he is one of the best defensive players they have ever played against. And as a spectator, you cannot help but be impressed by how he fearlessly competes among the giants.
"Tomo is the samurai of beach volleyball," a spokesperson from Oxygen4Energy stated. "He has no fear, and he just goes out there and slices and dices his opponents to death. He is never intimidated and just plays his game the best way he knows how. He is truly an inspiration to all beach volleyball lovers who are not tall enough to play the game the way the pros do. If you are ever our at a AVP event and get a chance to watch Tomo play, you'll understand why we love having him as a sponsored athlete. He's the underdog who everyone can't help cheering for."
Tomo has been trying to qualify for AVP events for 4 years now. Just two weeks after starting on the oxygen, he realized his dream by qualifying for the Manhattan Beach AVP event. What a great testament to the effectiveness of oxygen from Oxygen4Energy.com.
