Triathlon News: Megan Monroy takes 1st Overall Female at Breath of Life Triathlon

At the Breath of Life Olympic Distance Triathlon, Oxygen4energy athlete Megan Monroy was the first woman to cross the finish line! Holding strong into the season, she took home another first place overall female finish at the Regional Championship event held in beautiful Ventura Harbor, California.  Overcast skies made for almost prime race conditions.

After the race, Monroy said, " I went into the race not feeling too prime.  Throughout it I just felt weak overall.  To make matters worse I didn’t get to use my oxygen during the race like i had hoped.  Boy, did I learn a lesson. In my last race, I used oxygen throughout the race and felt great the entire time. Only taking a few shots before the race and not using it during this race was much more of a struggle. All I could do was give it my best and fortunately today it paid off. At least I was able to use my oxygen right after the race and recovered much faster than expected. What excites me about this experience is that all of the hard training I've been doing using oxygen seems to be paying off. If I have a bad day and am still able to win a race, I must be doing something right in training!"

Just another dominant performance by an Oxygen4Energy athlete!
